By accessing or using the Telegram bot @RecapThisBot (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1. Service Description
RecapThisBot provides AI-generated summaries, recaps, and related content based on messages, chats, or data submitted by users. The Service is provided for informational, productivity, and convenience purposes only.
RecapThisBot reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice or liability.
2. Eligibility
By using the Service, you confirm that:
- You are legally permitted to use the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction.
- You are at least 18 years old or have reached the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.
- You are responsible for complying with all local laws and regulations applicable to your use of the Service.
3. Data Storage & Privacy
- User interactions, including chat logs and metadata, may be stored for up to 14 days for service operation, moderation, quality assurance, analytics, and system improvement.
- After this period, data may be deleted, aggregated, or anonymised.
- Users must not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal information they do not wish to be processed or temporarily stored.
While reasonable security safeguards are implemented, no system can guarantee complete security or protection against unauthorised access.
4. Third-Party Services
- AI processing and certain functionality are facilitated through Thesis.io and potentially other third-party providers.
- By using RecapThisBot, you agree to comply with any applicable Thesis.io Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policies, and service rules.
- RecapThisBot is not responsible or liable for third-party services, uptime, performance, content, or data handling practices.
5. Acceptable Use
Users agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Submit unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, fraudulent, or infringing content
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, damage, or exploit the Service or infrastructure
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract system data or models
- Use the Service to generate malicious, deceptive, or misleading content
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service in an abusive manner
RecapThisBot reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate access to any user at its sole discretion.
6. AI Output Disclaimer
The Service uses artificial intelligence which may generate inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or outdated content.
Users acknowledge that:
- AI outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors.
- Outputs are provided for informational purposes only.
- AI outputs do not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, or professional advice.
- Users are solely responsible for verifying any information before relying on it.
7. $RECAP Token Disclaimer (Web3 & Crypto)
The $RECAP token is provided solely for utility, ecosystem participation, and community engagement purposes.
By interacting with or acquiring the $RECAP token, users acknowledge and agree that:
- The $RECAP token has no intrinsic or guaranteed value.
- The token is not a security, financial instrument, investment contract, or regulated product.
- No guarantee, representation, or expectation of profit, appreciation, or financial return is provided.
- Token functionality, distribution, availability, or utility may be modified, restricted, or discontinued at any time.
- Cryptocurrency and digital asset transactions involve significant financial and regulatory risks.
- Users assume all risks related to holding, trading, or using digital tokens.
RecapThisBot does not provide investment, trading, or financial advice.
8. Service Availability
RecapThisBot does not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free service operation. The Service may be affected by maintenance, infrastructure failures, third-party disruptions, or other technical issues.
9. Limitation of Liability (Worldwide)
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RecapThisBot, its operators, affiliates, partners, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or related to:
- Use of or inability to use the Service
- Reliance on AI-generated summaries, recaps, or outputs
- Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in generated content
- Loss, corruption, disclosure, or unauthorised access to data or chat logs
- Service interruptions, outages, or technical failures
- Token usage, token value fluctuations, or blockchain-related risks
- Actions, policies, or failures of third-party providers including Thesis.io
- User-generated content or misuse of the Service
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Users accept full responsibility for how they use the Service and any generated outputs.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where exclusion is not legally permitted.
10. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RecapThisBot, its operators, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- User misuse of the Service
- User breach of these Terms
- User violation of applicable laws or third-party rights
- User-generated content submitted to the Service
- User involvement in token transactions or blockchain interactions
11. Termination
RecapThisBot reserves the right to suspend or terminate user access at any time, without prior notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms or suspected harmful behaviour.
12. Arbitration & Dispute Resolution
To the extent permitted by law, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court proceedings.
- Arbitration shall be conducted confidentially and individually.
- Users agree not to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
- Arbitration procedures and venue shall be determined by RecapThisBot, unless prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws.
If arbitration is not legally enforceable in a user’s jurisdiction, disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the Governing Law section below.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply, such laws shall take precedence only to the extent required.
Users agree that, where legally permitted, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
RecapThisBot reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms become effective upon publication. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between users and RecapThisBot regarding use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
